Remuera Plate

The Remuera Plate was reduced to one round after the abandonment of the first round. This format clearly suited some of the "older" members who reached a peak of performance in their round on Saturday. John Fullford, Phil Lawson, Keith Aitchison and Murray Hieatt amassed 133pts - best 3 of 4 stableford on each hole! They were 12pts clear of the next team - Geoff Hamilton, Barry Hall, Michael Collins & Nick Lovegrove. 3rd place was secured by Darren Soo, Mark Morphy, Dave Spangenberg and Kruger Venter. Congratulations, guys.
Special mention to John Lacey for his 51pts - yes, 51pts in the Friday scramble. John has been having lessons with Steve Hinds and produced an unbelievable round last Friday. Not sure if this means that Steve's rates will go up, or is he on a cut of the winnings?? For the record John shot 84 off a 27 handicap - net 57. We'll be keeping an eye on future rounds, John.
