Women's Golf Update

Topic: Womens Golf
The golfing competitions are rapidly draw to a close, with Closing Day happening next Tuesday (register online - it's a 2:30pm 9-hole shotgun, followed by Prizegiving and end-of-Year Meeting).
Results of last Thursday's Scramble:-
1st - Daphne McKenzie (41 Points) - $20
2nd - Annie Stevenson (40 Points OCB) - $12
3rd - Carol White (40 Points) - $8
There was one '2' - Pru Robertson collected $40
The Super 70's / Amazing 80's day was held yesterday, with a good turnout for golf followed by a Lunch.
Prize-giving for the Vets was held after the Lunch, with the following winners announced:-
Vets Club champion = Elaine Ceelen
Vets R/U = Louise Lucena
Stableford Winner for the Year = Elaine Ceelen
Nett Winner for the Year = Margaret Honeybone
Putting Winner for the Year = Yvonne Wilkie
The Eclectic competition for Vets (sponsored by St Andrews) has been completed and the list of 'winners' is in the Locker Room, with the amount of money put on member's cards for use in the Golf Shop or Winstones.
Results of Gold Medal competition, played on Saturday and Tuesday:-
Winner = Giselle Pascual (a weekend player), with an outstanding nett score of 68.
Results of Tuesday's Gold Medal competition:-
1st = Carol White (nett 69)
2nd = Jan Bilger (nett 70 OCB)
3rd = Joan Reeves (70)
Results of Consolation Nett Competition :-
SILVER: Esther Cowper (net 70)
BRONZE 1: Tania Teamoke (nett 66 OCB)
BRONZE 2: Sarah Andrews (nett 65)
There were seven 2s today - Gail Mackenzie, Dorothy Manson, Joyce Tuivakano, Julie Hawkes, Carol White, Merilyn Kavvas and Anne Stevenson. $7 each.
The 'prizes' for weekly competitions for 2017 have been updated and the money has gone on to all accounts - full list is in the Locker Room.
Reminder: The Bridge-Sponsored day on Thursday is a shot-gun start at 8:00am (please report by 7:30am) and you are requested to bring your $10 lunch 'fee' with you so this can be paid at registration. Everything else is included - champagne, mince pies, 2s, prizes - we are very grateful for the generosity of the Bridge Ladies to sponsor this Christmas event.
Don't forget Closing Day is on Tuesday, 5th December and is a shot-gun start at 2:30pm, to be followed by 'a glass of wine and canapes' and end-of-year Meeting and Prizegiving. You are all encouraged to attend this 'event' !! Register online for the golf.
