Men's Pennant Update

The 2nd completed round of Men's Pennants was held on Sunday.  The Bissett Shield, Presidents and Captains teams were all at home.  The Bissett team backed up their perfect start (8-0 vs Whitford Park) with another great win over Howick (7-1).  It was much closer than that sounds with 4matches going to the last two holes.  Other results:

Royal Auckland/Grange beat Maungakiekie 6.5-1.5
Akarana beat Pukekohe 7.5-0.5

Our Presidents team has started much better with a first up win over Windross Farm and a draw with Akarana on Sunday.  A very shakey start at the bottom of the order was resurrected by our middle and top order players - wins to Ian Braddock, Chris Goad, Tomas Shaw and Karl Jorgensen just getting us a half point.  Other results:

The Captains team are also showing great form at the moment backing up a 6-2 win with a 7-1 win over Royal Auckland/Grange.  Wins to Mike Maingay, Robby Turnbull, Nigel Smith, Andrew Millard, Daniel Freeman, Jaime Lansi and Vincent Vuillard cemented their place at the top of the table.  Results:

In Inter Club Division 2 our boys lost to Royal Auckland/Grange 5-3 which leaves them on 8pts, 4pts behind the leaders, Whitford Park.  The Division 3 team also lost 2.5-5.5 to Titirangi at Windross Farm.  With 6pts they are just above Howick (4.5pts) at the bottom of the table which is led by Titirangi (11pts).
 
The Bissett and Presidents are at Royal Auckland/Grange this Sunday - Bissett vs Maungakiekie; Presidents vs Waiuku.  The Inter Club teams are at home against Pukekohe (Division 2) and Akarana (Division 3).
