The Club Champions for 2018 were all presented with their trophies and prizes at a wonderful Club Champs Dinner before Labour Weekend. The Committee’s skit entertained everyone with an excellent rendition of their version of The Chase. We wish our champions all the best as they participate in the Champion of Champions at Onewhero on Monday, 5 November.

The Four Clubs Competition, held last Tuesday would have provided food for thought to those who scored better than they would usually score with a full set of clubs!

1^st – Noeline Wigg (38 Points)

2^nd – Catherine Wharfe (35 Points OCB)

3^rd – Di Simmons (35 Points)

The 8^th round of the Midweek LGU was played today in somewhat inclement conditions. Full results are in the Locker Room. Winners were:-

SILVER = Joan Reeves (net 75)

BRONZE 1 = Gillian Ge Liu (net 74)

BRONZE 2 – Catherine Wharfe (net 78)

It was a clean sweep overall for the Business Women, who played their LGU on Saturday.

Overall winners of the October LGU are therefore:-

BRONZE 1 – Maureen Kirkland-Smith (net 70)

BRONZE 2 – Jillian Brown (net 67)

The Scramble Results for Thursday, 18^th October were not correct as a result of a scorecard being entered put into the system incorrectly. Adjusted results show Laraine Bagshaw winning with 42 Points.

· TopCat is next Tuesday – email Karen your entry (or enter on sheet in Locker Room)

· Invitation Day is on Thursday – shotgun start @ 8am. This is your chance to invite a friend from another Club. Entry fee is $30 per couple (including 2s). Enter with Karen

· There will be three Rules Sessions for ALL members to address the new Rules that come into play on the 1^st January; note in your diaries Tuesday, 13^th November (after golf @ approx 1:30pm) or Wednesday at approx. 11:30am or Thursday, 22^nd Nov at approx. 1:30pm. These Sessions will be run by our ‘rules experts’, Esther Cowper, Helen Peters + Chris Carroll who ALL scored extremely highly in recent examinations.

· As has been mentioned before, the Inaugural Auckland Women’s Masters at Akarana is fast looming – Monday 26 November. Full details are on a poster in the Locker Room. Please support this event so that it can be a success in its first year!
