The work improving the drainage at the green end of the 13th hole will begin on Monday February 4th.  Turftech has advised that the most efficient way to complete this work is to close the 13th Hole from Monday February 4th.  This is a change from the original plan but should enable the work to be completed more quickly.  It is anticipated that it will take 10-12 weeks allowing for the grow-in period of the fairway after drainage work is completed.

 

This will necessitate bringing temporary holes in on 7A and 7B.  We will have 10 holes on the front half of the course and 8 holes on the back half of the course.   Therefore whereever possible we will set up the starting tees for 9 hole players to be the 1st and 9th holes.  Please note that if you are starting from the 9th tee you should make your way to the tee via the path through the pines between the 1st and 9th fairways and down the side of the 9th fairway above the 5th fairway.

 

You may wish to leave your clubs (other than your club for the tee shot) & trundler on the side of the 9th fairway around the distance of your tee shot to save taking them all back to the tee.

 

This work will ensure that we should not need to close the 13th hole in the wettest part of winter as we did last year.
