Last Wednesday Keith Aitchison defeated Dennis Swan in a very tight tussle to reach the final of the Mid-Week Captains Trophy.  Keith will meet Robin Stanley who overcame Eoin Pope in the other semi-final.  Congratulations on reaching the final and play well in the final.

 

The Club Match Play Championships finals are on Saturday.  In the Open Grade Rakesh Patel (after defeating Daniel Freeman on 22nd hole) will play Nathan Smith.  Nathan had to win the 18th hole to take Robby Turnbull to extra holes and then won the 19th to reach the final.  This trophy will definitely have a new name on it after Saturday - good luck to you both.

 

In the other finals - Intermediate: Ty Ngo will play Chris Hanley.  Ty beat Darren Soo, while Chris overcame Steve Callinan in the semis.  The Junior final is between Bruce Renshaw & Michael Wright who defeated Tada Wada and Dene McKay respectively.  The C Grade sees Paul Hurtley play David Hartstone - Paul defeated Mike Hyams, while David beat John Tutt in their semi-finals.  Michael Egan and Clive Walker will contest the D Grade final after beating John Childerhouse and Derek Adam in their semi-finals.

 

The next event is Round #1 of the Booth Cup - net medal and gross, with the best gross and 2 best net players qualifying for the final at the end of the year.

 

Then we have the Presidents Foursomes on April 6th.  The course is closed to other play with the morning round starting at 8.30am.  The entry sheet is posted in the Golf Shop.
