9 Hole Women's Update

Nine Hole Women’s Golf Update

TEE SELECTION

All handicaps are able to choose Red or Green tees unless specified in a competition. As summer approaches and the course dries out, it is expected that the Red tee blocks will be more appealing and give better scores and so help to bring down handicaps.

SPEED OF PLAY

Thinking positively that the weather is improving, our intrepid winter golfers will increasingly be joined by the fair weather brigade putting extra pressure on tee times and speed of play. Please do your best by remembering:

- Get to the tee 5-10 minutes ahead of your booked time

- Keep up with the group in front

- Pick up as soon as you are unable to score a stableford point

- Move quickly to the next hole & first player tee off then mark your card while others are teeing off.

- When placing is allowed (shown on card), you may mark, clean and place your ball once. If the ball moves from the spot you put it down, you must play it from there and not place it again.

- First two players to hole out move quickly to the next tee

PUTTING COMPETITION: now open to all handicaps!

The course was closed on Wednesday 4 September which was the scheduled date for Round Two of this competition. Round Two will now be played on Wednesday October 2nd. It’s not too late to enter – best two of the remaining three rounds will be taken if you enter on October 2nd. There is no entry fee and the competition is now open to all. No pick ups allowed and you may play from either Green or Red tees. Please be mindful of speed of play
