After the heavy rain on Saturday morning, the skies cleared for the Winter Cup Final between Andrew "Trapper" Williams and Murray Hieatt. Trapper got off to the best start and led by 2 going on to the back nine. At this point Murray started his come-back and was 1up with a few holes to play. Trapper had to win the 18th to take the match into sudden death and backed it up with a 2-putt par to win the match on the 19th hole. The match was played in a great spirit - congratulations, Trapper.
Captain's Prize
Our next competition is the Captain's Prize. The qualifying round is scheduled for Saturday July 17th. To ensure that players who want to play in this event are given the best chance of getting a booking we will accept entries via our website - www.remueragolfclub.com/mygolf. Entries will open on June 24th and close on Wednesday July 7. The registered names will be placed on the start sheet on July 7th prior to the opening of the start sheet the following day - Thursday July 8. Other players will be able to enter the event when they print their card on the day of the event.
The Match Play rounds are on consecutive Saturdays after the Qualifying round - from July 26 to August 21st. 32 Players - best net qualifying scores will progress to the match play rounds.
